Remember that post of mine a while back about the bent wheel. Well, I went to pick it up from the place that was repairing it...or should I say "pick them up" since it was in two pieces!! They explained that the alloy used in the wheel contained higher concentrations of Magnesium than what's commonly seen, so it broke when they applied a load to it due to its decreased ductility. I asked them why they didn't heat it up before trying to stretch it, but they couldn't give me a solid answer as to why not. Any thoughts about this? Thanks, George PS: I'll be posting pics of the broken wheel as soon as I can bare looking at it without busting out in tears...
